Responsibilities
-Develop and implement a comprehensive monetization strategy that balances ad revenue, IAP, player retention, and a healthy game economy.
-Define optimal in-app ad placements, formats, and frequency.
-Own the entire in-game advertising inventory lifecycle: from placement strategy and technical integration to performance analysis and optimization.
-Conduct in-depth analysis of key metrics (ARPDAU, LTV, Ad Revenue). Initiate and analyze A/B tests for all aspects of ad monetization. Make data-driven decisions.
-Collaborate with User Acquisition: Partner closely with the marketing team. Understand how monetization impacts traffic acquisition and help define optimal UA strategies based on the monetization model.
What skills will you use
- 5+ years of experience in mobile F2P game development with a focus on ad inventory monetization (Ad Monetization Manager, Monetization Manager, Monetization Economist).
- Technical Understanding: Knowledge of ad network mechanics (AdMob, Unity Ads, ironSource, etc.), mediation platforms, SDKs. Understanding of the technical integration of ads into an application.
- Strategic Thinking and Modeling Experience: Experience in building monetization strategies from scratch and creating financial models where advertising is a core component. Ability to forecast the long-term impact of decisions on the game's economy.
- Soft Skills: A blend of analytical, mathematical mindset with commercial, sales-oriented market understanding.
- UA Experience: Understanding of user acquisition cycles and the interrelations between monetization, retention, and marketing.
- Advanced data analysis skills (SQL, Excel/Sheets, BI systems). Ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to persuade, and establish processes at the intersection of product, development, and marketing.
- Deep understanding of player psychology in F2P games.
Bonus skills:
- Experience with MAX mediation.
- Experience monetizing sports simulators, football managers, or games with a strong PvP/seasonal component.
- Personal gaming experience in such projects (FIFA/EA FC, eFootball, Top Eleven, etc.).
