Responsibilities
-Develop and maintain the networking module for multiplayer games
-Integrate the networking module into an existing game project and engine
-Optimize network interactions to improve player experience (reduce latency, minimize traffic, increase connection stability)
-Participate in designing the architecture of networking solutions
-Profile and debug network components
What skills will you use
- Excellent knowledge of C++
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Knowledge of CPU and memory optimization principles
- Understanding of network programming concepts (TCP/UDP, sockets, protocols, serialization)
- Experience in game development
Bonus skills:
- Experience developing multiplayer networked games
- Familiarity with Golang/Python/Bash
- Experience with game engines (Unreal Engine or custom engines)
- Experience with multithreading, asynchronous programming, replication, and prediction systems
- Understanding of client-server architecture and peer-to-peer networking principles
